Upcoming Events:

21-23 Nov 08 - Turkey Run Ridge Campout at Prince William Forest Park.  We will do the orienteering course.  Scouts should bring a bag lunch, compass. water bottles, and dry clothing.

23 Nov 08 - Matt Karalus Eagle Scout Court of Honor 4:00 p.m. at the Fire Hall.  All Scouts and Families are invited to celebrate the accomplishments of our new Eagle Scout.

27 Nov 08 - Happy Thanksgiving.  No Troop Meeting.

4 Dec 08 - Spaghetti Dinner Planning Committee Meeting at the Fire Hall during the regular Troop meeting.  Anyone interested in helping plan our only fund-raising event of the year should plan to attend.  Please consider helping out.

6 Dec 08 - Manassas Christmas Parade - the First-year Scouts will carry the opening banner in the parade.

6 Dec 08 - Troop Merit Badge Day at the Fire Hall.  Merit Badge sign-up sheets are at the back of the room.  Check with counselors for prerequisites.  Cost is $2 for lunch.

6 Dec 08 - Troop Lock-In following MB Day at the Fire Hall.  Bring your TVs and game systems for the most requested event of the year!  Pizza and sodas will be provided.  THIS EVENT WILL BE CANCELLED if we do not have enough adult chaperones.  Please consider volunteering for this event.

20 Dec 08 - Ethan Gentry's Eagle Court of Honor 3:00 p.m. at the Marine Corps Museum.  All Scouts and Families are invited to celebrate the accomplishments of our new Eagle Scout.  Please see Ethan for additional details.

23 Dec 08 - Troop Archery Shoot 1:00 p.m. at the Izaak Walton League.

 

 

Venture Patrol:

Scouts beginning their 4th year in the troop, who are at least First Class, and are 13.5 years old, are eligible to join the Venture Patrol.  The Patrol provides high adventure opportunities to older scouts.  These scouts participate in all troop activities as well.  Anyone who would like additional information should see Mr. Cunningham, Mr. Moxley or Mr. Henz during a troop meeting.
